As part of your learning experience, active participation in discussions is essential. An important part of the final grade will be based on your participation. You will be evaluated on the quality and quantity of your participation in the discussion forum that corresponds to the grading rubric.

The initial post and responses should be in your own words and demonstrate critical thinking, analysis, and the expected level of knowledge. Initial posts and replies should be in complete sentences and in paragraph form. You should not have bullet points as they are not in complete sentences or paragraph form. Copy-pasting may result in a zero.

You also can find the grading rubric in the syllabus or by clicking on the three dots in the top right corner. This will help guide you in demonstrating your understanding of the content while providing a thorough and detailed discussion post. Your initial post should be more than a few sentences to demonstrate critical thinking. 

As you are working on your assignment for this week, you are having to use Word and also apply APA formatting to this document. Address the following in your initial post:

What challenges are you having with getting proper APA formatting in Word? 

What Word functions are confusing for you this week?

1. If you are not having problems using Word functions, offer a tip to your classmates to help them be successful using Word. For example, make a recommendation on using Spellcheck, formatting an APA document in Word, or using Grammarly to check grammar.
2. Referring to this week’s “Looking at the Bigger Picture” video, discuss how you can use Microsoft Word in your academic, personal, and professional life.
