Reflection-in-action brings a leader’s remembered skills, experience, and knowledge into play at the right time. Reflection-on-action occurs after the event. Reflective practices before, during, and after an event improve future leadership decisions in each situation.
Step 1
Review the models of reflective leadership practice: Bolton and Delderfield’s six honest serving men model, Kolb and Fry’s learning experience model, Gibb’s reflective cycle model, and Rolfe’s reflective three simple questions model.
Step 2
Analyze the similarities and differences between each reflective leadership practice model to determine how each answers the why, what, and how questions. Compile your analysis into a table.
Step 3
Prepare a 4 to 5-page paper (not including the title or reference pages) with an in-depth analysis of each reflective leadership model. Use APA-formatted in-text citations. You may embed your comparison/contrast table within your paper or you may attach it at the end of your paper as you see in this. Within your table, you are to single-space and utilize complete sentences.
